Privacy Policy

Sky Clock — a companion clock & reminder app for Sky: Children of the Light. Last updated 13 July 2026.

Sky Clock is built to be private by default. You can use the entire app — clocks, countdowns, reminders and widgets — without an account, and almost everything the app remembers lives only on your device.

Signing in with Google is optional. If you choose to, we then hold an account identifier for you, and this policy explains exactly what that means.

Who we are

Sky Clock is published by BytieBell LTD (trading as Minidiel), a company registered in England & Wales (company number 16449251), registered office 3rd Floor, London, England, EC2A 4NE. We are the data controller for the data described below. Contact: lorenzo@minidiel.com.

What stays on your device

Signing in with Google (optional)

Sky Clock Premium can be granted without a purchase — for example, to the first users during our launch promotion. Because there is no store receipt behind such a grant, it is tied to the app installation, and it would be lost permanently on a reinstall or a new phone. Linking a Google account gives us a stable identity so we can give your Premium back on any device you sign in on.

If — and only if — you sign in, we collect and store:

DataWhere it is heldWhy
Your email address and Google display name Google Firebase Authentication To identify your account and show you which account you are signed in as.
A user ID (a random identifier Firebase creates for you) Firebase Authentication, our database, and RevenueCat The durable key your Premium entitlement hangs off.
Your Premium record: promotion number, the anonymous app-install ID it was linked from, and the date you linked Our database (Google Firestore) So we can restore your Premium on a new device, and so one grant cannot be claimed by several accounts.
Sign-in timestamps (account created, last sign-in) Firebase Authentication Standard security and account housekeeping.

We ask Google only for your basic profile and email address. We do not request or receive access to your contacts, files, photos, calendar, or any other Google data.

We use your account to restore and maintain your Premium access, and to support account-based features of the app. We may add further account-based features in future (for example, syncing your preferences between your own devices); if we ever use your account for a materially different purpose, we will update this policy first.

What leaves your device even without an account

What we do NOT do

Service providers

They process data on our behalf, not for their own advertising.

Where your data is processed

Our Firebase services run in the United States, so if you sign in, your account data is transferred outside the UK/EEA. These transfers rely on the safeguards offered by our providers (including Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US and UK–US Data Privacy Framework).

How long we keep it

If you sign in, we keep your account data for as long as your account exists, so that we can keep restoring your Premium. Delete your account and it is removed (see below). Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Deleting your data

⚠️ Deleting your account also destroys any Premium that was granted to it. If your Premium was a free grant rather than a purchase, it cannot be recovered afterwards. The app asks you to confirm this before it happens.

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. This immediately revokes the Premium entitlement, deletes your Premium record from our database, and deletes your sign-in account.

Without the app, or to have us do it for you: see Delete your Sky Clock account, or email lorenzo@minidiel.com from your linked address and we will delete it for you.

Local data: uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your device. You can also clear the app's storage in your device settings to reset it. To stop server reminders, turn reminders off in the app (your device unsubscribes from the topics).

Your rights

If you have signed in, you have the right to access, correct, export, or erase the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. The quickest route to erasure is the in-app Delete account button; for anything else, email lorenzo@minidiel.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the UK and believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Where we process account data, we do so on the basis of your consent (you chose to sign in — you may withdraw it at any time by deleting your account) and our legitimate interest in preventing one Premium grant from being claimed by many accounts.

Children

Sky Clock is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
